About the SDA Fellows Program The SDA Fellows Program is dedicated to honoring exceptional individuals who have demonstrated remarkable contributions to SDA and excellence in design firm management. This prestigious designation goes beyond regular involvement in national and chapter events or typical duties as officers or employees.
The Fellows Program uses a self-nominated application process. It encourages SDA members to take on active roles within the organization, pursue continuous education and personal growth, attain certification, and actively engage with the A/E/C community to enhance overall practice management. The Fellow designation encourages members to participate in continuing future activities that will lead to further self-development and the development of other SDA members. Only those who have been recognized through this process will be entitled to use the FSDA designation. Each application is thoughtfully evaluated by a panel of peers called the Fellows Jury, ensuring that the honor is bestowed upon truly deserving individual. 2025 Class Application Period Opens The application period for the 2025 Class of SDA Fellows opens September 15, 2025 and closes November 14, 2025 at 5:00 pm Eastern. An individual may obtain more information about the criteria for Fellow status in the SDA Fellows Program Guidelines. The SDA Fellows Program Application must be completed and submitted along with several testimonial letters and a fee of $250 to SDA National Headquarters.
