The National Awards Committee wants to work with your chapter board/awards committee to help identify your award-worthy programming and initiatives from 2024, and get you started on
compiling your submission. The Star, Best in Class, and Lifetime Achievement awards serve as an essential part of recognizing our chapters' and members' excellence!

Best in Class - Membership Campaign AwardThe Best in Class – Membership Campaign Award will acknowledge a chapter’s excellence in promoting the growth of SDA by recognizing the value of an outstanding membership recruitment campaign designed to encourage individuals to join the society as a member. All chapters are encouraged to submit an entry for the Best in Class – Membership Campaign Award. BIC - Membership Campaign Criteria
Best in Class - Program AwardThe SDA Best in Class – Program Award will acknowledge a Chapter’s excellence in their academic achievements by recognizing the value of an outstanding educational and/or professional development program designed to develop an individual’s skills and capabilities. All chapters are encouraged to submit an entry for the Best in Class – Program Award. BIC - Program Criteria
Lifetime AchievementThis prestigious award is presented annually to a member who has made continued and significant contributions to the SDA throughout their membership. Evaluation is based on the descriptive essay of the nominee’s achievements, letter of reference from nominee’s supervisor and/or professional peer, and volume and type of SDA involvement.  Star MemberThe purpose of this award is to recognize the service and dedication of individuals to SDA. It is given for significant contributions to the membership of a Chapter or the entire Society through participation in and support of its meetings and publications, fundraising, recruitment, or other significant activities. This year we are asking you submit the information via our online form. Congratulations to our 2024 Star Award winners.
